After sending my friends off for Hajj 08, it brought back strong memories of my Hajj 07.
Time really flies..
It has been a year now but it seems I was invited to the Holy Land a few weeks back..
The experience of Hajj is Magnificent & beyond words..
I do hope to be invited again & again to Makkah Al-Mukarramah & Madinah Al-Munawarah either for Hajj or Umrah Pilgrimage…
What is the Most Regret when asked my fellow pilgrimage?
“If I have the means I would have gone Hajj when I was still young..; ….10 years back when I was still fit”
When you are there, you can see the real Beauty of Islam..
Regardless of the race, language, culture, Nationality, Skin colour, Custom, gender, marital status, prince or pauper, Mazhabs, Syiah or Sunni…
Everyone congregate as one during the Prayer..
Following one Imam In Masjidil Haram or Masjidil Nabawi…
All dress in white in Arafah Submitting to HIM…
Subhanallah…
GOD is Great!
Everyone never thinks of the worldly wealth but reflects the journey so far we had in this Fana’ or Mortal World…
These Questions linger on our ears…
What happens if we die tomorrow?
Are we prepared to meet HIM?
Alhamdulillah…
On top of exploring the globe, I am in the midst of writing a book on my adventure & producing a DVD on the recent Hajj 07 Pilgrimage: “The Ultimate Journey - Call of Ka’abah” - full of my very own pictures with some close-ups of the Ka’abah, the whole Hajj procession, Visits to Madinah Al-Munawarah, a few rare pictures taken in heavily security Masjidil Nabawi & a brief write up on Hajj procedures..
It is meant to be shared to all my friends across the globe…
At least if we are still not invited by HIM yet to be there, the pictures will motivate us to be there someday…
I will update the links or the website where the DVDs can be available & it will be couriered to you anywhere in the world..
My next DVD will be on my adventure to Baitul Maqdis in Palestine visiting Masjidil Aqsa or Al-Qudz….

Voluntary Fasting
Fasting in general and voluntary fasting in particular is a great worship at all times.
Fasting is not restricted to Ramadan, it is an act of worship that can be [and should be in some cases] performed at any time and at any place except when not recommended. Indeed, it is a worship that draws the believer closer to ALLAH and closer to perfection.
The day of `Arafah (9th Dhu-al-Hijjah) :
This is for those who are not performing the Hajj (pilgrimage).
Abu Qatadah said : the Messenger of ALLAH, salla ALLAHu alaihi wa sallam, said:
“Fasting on the day of `Arafah is an expiation [of sins] for two years, the year preceding it and the year following it and the fasting the day of `Aashuraa’ [10th of Muharram] is an expiation for the year preceding it. [Muslim, an-Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, Abu Dawood].
Fasting three days of every month:
`Amr Ibn Sharhabeel said : The Messenger of ALLAH, salla ALLAHu alaihi wa sallam said :
“Shall I not inform you of what takes away the whispers of the chest”, they said yes tell us, he said ” fasting three days from every month”. [an-Nasaa’i; Saheeh]
Abu Dharr Al-Ghifaari said: “The Messenger of ALLAH, salla ALLAHu alaihi wa sallam, said
“Whoever fasts from every month three days, it is like fasting the whole year, then ALLAH revealed what backs this in His book “Whoever comes with a good deed, he is rewarded ten folds”, one day for ten. [Ibn Majah and at-Tirmithi].
Abu Dharr Al-Ghifaari said: “The Messenger of ALLAH, salla ALLAHu alaihi wa sallam, said
“O Abu Dharr! if you fast three days of every month, then fast the 13th, the 14th and the 15th [these are call the al-ayaam al-beedh, the white days]”. [Note these are dates of the Islamic Month!] [Ahmad, an-Nasaa’i and at-Tirmithi; Sahih]
